How do you play Cave Flyer?
Hold to make the plane climb and let go to make it drop. With just that, steer through a scrolling candy cave, dodging the ceiling, the floor and the pillars in the middle, and fly as far as you can. It plays just like the classic Flash helicopter game.
The plane takes off the moment you first press. One touch anywhere ends the run, and the distance you covered is your score.
What are the rules?
| Score | Distance flown in meters. A chime plays every 100 m. |
|---|---|
| Game over | The plane touches the ceiling, the floor or a candy pillar |
| Speed | Keeps rising the further you go, up to nearly twice the starting speed |
| Cave width | Gets narrower over distance, and pillars show up more often |
| Cave color | Changes every 500 m: strawberry, mint, lemon, grape, peach and sky blue candy |
Is there always a way through?
Yes. Each cave is carved around a path flown first with the very same physics, so there is always at least one way through. You will never meet a bend too sharp for the plane to climb or dive in time, or a dead end.
Tips for flying further
- Use short taps. Holding too long sends you shooting up. Quick taps keep you almost level.
- Stay near the middle. It leaves room to dodge either way.
- Move early. The plane carries its momentum, so press or release a beat before a bend.
- Go around pillars on the open side. If a pillar hangs high, pass below it, and if it sits low, pass above.
What is the Daily cave?
It is a cave with the same shape for everyone, every day. It changes at midnight Korea time, and your furthest distance today is shown on the Daily cave button with a ✓. You can try it as many times as you like.
