How do you play Color Connect?
Draw a line between each pair of same color dots so that the lines fill every cell of the grid. When every color is joined and no empty cell is left, the puzzle is solved. Puzzles of this kind are also known as color link or Numberlink puzzles.
Press a dot and drag up, down, left or right. The line follows your finger, and once it reaches the matching dot that color is connected. Cells a line passes through are tinted in its color.
What are the rules for drawing lines?
Match colors: a line joins two dots of the same color and cannot pass over a dot of another color.
No crossing: each cell holds one line only, so lines can never overlap or cross.
Straight steps: lines move to neighboring cells only, never diagonally.
Fill the board: joining every color is not enough if any cell is still empty.
Cut and shorten: dragging through another line cuts it, and stepping back along your own line shortens it.

Tips for solving faster
Start with dots on the edges and corners. They have the fewest ways to go, so their lines are easiest to find.
Join neighbors right away. Short, obvious lines narrow down the space left for the others.
Hug the walls. In puzzles with a unique solution, long lines often run along the border of the board.
Watch for trapped cells. If an empty cell can no longer be reached by any line, the current route is wrong.
If some colors look alike, turn on the ◆ button to show a small symbol on every dot. Solved levels and your best time for each level are saved in this browser.
Frequently asked questions
Is Color Connect free?
Yes. Play it free right on this page with no download or sign up, on computers, phones and tablets.
Is this the same as other color connecting puzzles?
It follows the familiar rules: join each pair of same color dots without crossing lines and fill the whole grid. The puzzles, art and sounds are made by ormgames.
Why isn't the puzzle finished when every color is connected?
Some cells are still empty. You also need to cover every cell of the board with lines. Reroute your lines until the Filled counter at the top reaches 100%.
Can a puzzle have more than one solution?
No. Every puzzle was checked by a solver to have exactly one solution, so it can always be solved by logic alone.
How many hints do I get?
Two per puzzle on 5×5 and 6×6 boards and three per puzzle from 7×7 up. A hint draws one line that is not yet correct exactly as it appears in the solution.
My finger hides the line on my phone. What can I do?
While you drag on a touch screen, a magnifier appears above your finger showing where the end of your line is, and the cell at the tip is marked with a dashed circle.
Is my progress saved?
Solved levels, your best time for each level and the last level you played are saved in this browser. Use the Continue button on the start screen to jump back in.
What are the daily puzzle and challenge links?
The daily puzzle is one 7×7 level picked for the day, the same for everyone. After you solve a level, press Share result to send a challenge link. A friend who opens it plays the same size and level and tries to beat your time. There is no server, so your records stay in this browser.
