How do you play Stack Tower?
Tap at the right moment to drop the sliding block onto the one below and stack the tower as high as you can. It is a one tap arcade game, and your score is the number of floors you build.
Blocks slide in from the back left and the back right on alternate floors. The tilted 3D view shows the top and sides of every block, and the colors shift through the rainbow floor by floor.
What happens when a block is off?
| Your drop | What happens |
|---|---|
| A little off | The overhang is sliced off and tumbles away. Only the overlap stays, so the next block is that much narrower. |
| Spot on (Perfect) | Nothing is cut and "Perfect!" pops up. From the third Perfect in a row, each one widens the block a little, up to its starting size. |
| Missed completely | The whole block falls and the game ends. The camera pulls back to show the tower you built. |
| Higher floors | Blocks keep getting faster until about floor 60, then the speed stays at its maximum. |
Why does the sky change color?
As the tower grows, the sky turns from daytime to sunset, then dusk, then a starry night. The color tells you roughly how high you are, and once stars appear you are doing very well.
Tips for a taller tower
- Watch the edges. Timing the block's edge against the corner below is easier than judging the center.
- Go for Perfects while the block is wide. A narrow block leaves no room for mistakes, so bank your Perfects early.
- Win back width with streaks. From the third Perfect in a row the block grows, so slow down and find the rhythm when it gets thin.
- Play by rhythm. Blocks move back and forth at a steady pace, so tapping to the beat works better than chasing them with your eyes.
