How do you play Escape Room?
It is a first person puzzle game: tap around the room, pick up items, use them in the right places and unlock the door. Just like the classic Flash escape games, you turn between four walls with the arrows and hunt for clues.
The story takes place at Grandma's house. You wake up from a nap in the attic to find the door locked, and Grandma's trail of clues leads through the study and a glass greenhouse out to the garden. There is nothing scary or dark here, just a bright and cozy story.
What kinds of puzzles are there?
| Room | Puzzles | Locks |
|---|---|---|
| 1. Attic | Knitting basket, gift box, music box, drawer, toy chest, picture frames, door | Direction · color · 4 digits |
| 2. Study | Bookshelf, desk drawer, piano, telescope, safe, glass door | Key color order · 3 digits |
| 3. Greenhouse | Paw prints, birdhouse, faucet, watering can, flowerpots, garden door | Direction · color |
- Number locks: tap the top half of a dial to go up one and the bottom half to go down one. The lock opens as soon as the numbers are right.
- Color locks: each tap moves a slot through red, orange, yellow, green, blue and purple.
- Direction locks: press the arrows in order. If the full sequence is wrong, start again from the first arrow.
- Using items: tap an item in your bag to pick it, then tap where to use it. Tap it again to put it back.
Where are the clues?
Every clue is a number, color, shape or direction you can see in the room. You never need to tap randomly to find a hidden pixel. Each step follows from what you see.
If a lock has a shape like ★ above a dial, something else in the room carries the same shape. No puzzle depends on reading words, so the answers are the same in English and Korean.
Tips for getting unstuck
- Walk all four walls first. Knowing what is locked or missing tells you where a new item belongs.
- Look at the picture on each lock. Footprints, shapes and colored rims point to where the clue is.
- Some puzzles are about counting. Match things by shape or color and count them.
- Open hints one level at a time. Level 1 points the way, level 2 explains how, level 3 gives the answer.
