A Major Arcana card about endings and beginnings, transformation, clearing. The name sounds frightening, but this is a card of change: one chapter closes so another can open.
Upright meaning
The name sounds frightening, but this is a card of change: one chapter closes so another can open. Like the sun rising again over the horizon, clearing out the old makes room for the new. Accepting an ending makes your heart much lighter.
Reversed meaning
You may be clinging to something that has already ended and postponing change. Holding on only tires you, so thank what was good and let it go.
In love and relationships
The relationship is changing shape. Clear away old habits and misunderstandings and it can be reborn more mature.
In work and money
One phase wraps up and the next begins. Boldly retire methods that no longer work.
